That is the problem with these convention acceptance speeches. I think people get to know a candidate better in a more casual setting.

Obama might think he did a lot of explaining, but it was all generalities for me.........they always seem to be full of generalities. (McCain could do something really special and get specific with his acceptance speech.)

I still don't know anything about how The One would make good on his promises. I don't know what my small business' tax rate will be. I don't know what is going to happen to our efforts in Iraq or Afghanistan and our men and women in the military. He says everyone's health premiums will drop, but he doesn't explain how he'll do that. When he said we must improve education for the children, I wanted to throw something at the TV. Americans are starting to really get angry about the status quo, and does anyone really believe he can or will change that?

Basically he was angrily responding to the attack ads McCain, and others have been posting on utube and TV for the last few months.

He tried hard to come off as being older and wiser and stronger than his years and experience implies. but just on the edges, there seemed to be a hint of that Chicago politician, haughty bad boy thuggery aura.

Has anyone else but me noticed how high he holds his nose. Like he's thinking that having to give those repetitive speeches in front of the little people a rather bothersome and stinky affair?
