I was a little stunned at how Fox News fawned over Obama's speech, but it didn't work for me.

I think Greta was influenced by the emotion of the crowd.
But hey, fair and balanced. Meanwhile, apparently Matthews and Olbermann gushed so much over the speech on MSNBC that even the Obama-supporting liberals at TNR said they wondered if it was an SNL skit. Beyond self-parody, they said.

I agree with you about the speech. Obama looked irritated when he should have been triumphant, and the speech sounded defensive; a lot of it was recycled from his stump speeches, with attempted indignation that didn't really fly. But that crowd would hardly have noticed if he had recited Homer in ancient Greek; they were too caught up in the triumph of the moment.
