Kate,

I find it interesting how some people, from both sides of the aisle, hate all things Clinton.

I thought the Clintons did a great job at the convention with their speeches. They also seemed to have the proper attitude as well. But I don't doubt that there will be people around that diss them over not saying this or that.

I thought Obama hit it out of the park last night. Excellent speech. It will be interesting to see what kind of bounce he gets out of this. Obama and the Clintons seem to be on the same page at this point in time. I agree with you that it is really up to Obama to bring the party together and show that he can do it and it appears that he has. A nice feather in his cap. I know all politicians do this but he really does overpromise. I would hope that he can get just some of what he promised done if he gets elected. If he wins, his job will be much more difficult because of what has happened in the last 8 years. I also liked his pick of Biden as his running mate. It will be interesting to see who McCain picks and how the two picks are compared as to how they reflect on the man at the top of the ticket.

I also find it interesting that McCain hasn't filled up the Nutter Center in Dayton OH. It is a relatively small venue(we used to live a couple of miles from it). My district was heavily republican and I remember the long lines to vote in 00 and 04. Hard to know if doing this before a holiday weekend has anything to do with this. Hopefully we will get an honest election in Ohio. Strickland was exposed as being so sleezy in his run for governor I am not surprised by all the allegations about the previous elections he oversaw.

Neal
