McCain has a record of cogent calls:

--he advised Reagan to NOT send marines to Beirut..McCain was right.

--McCain promoted the surge in Iraq when it was very unpopular and he paid for it politically at the time, BUT..McCain was right.

--When asked prior to Russia's invasion of Georgia what he saw in Putin's eyes, John replied that he saw 3 letters--K.G.B.-- recent events have proven...McCain was right.
