I was really floored by this choice. Heck, I didn't even know who she was, and I follow what's going on fairly closely. Did anyone in the media even mention her as a potential candidate?

Setting the ethics question aside, the choice of Palin has completely shut down what was an effective (and possibly the only) line of attack against Obama - the 'thin resume' one.

Ouch. I don't know what the heck McCain was thinking.
