She is very popular among her constituency and among those who know of her because she is fair, just and reasonable. She has made a reputation for her self as someone who cleans up government and we all agree this is needed at all levels.

Everyone of us has long awaited a time when we could look at candidates in other ways than 'litmus test issues' like the one's you listed.

You say anti-environment (litmus test) But as governor Palin announced plans to create a new sub-cabinet group of advisors, to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions within Alaska.

You say anti-gay rights (litmus test) But Palin says she has gay friends and is receptive to gay and lesbian concerns about discrimination. Palin signed an implementation of same-sex benefits into law. Palin's first veto was used to block legislation that would have barred the state from granting benefits to the partners of gay state employees. In effect, her veto granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples.

You say pro-oil ... I say, huh? She has earned a rep for being independent of big oil while supporting resource development. Good.
