8/29/08 update
The Bears dominated the field for another week. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -10.74% YTD (vs. -8.96% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 6.11% YTD (vs. up 7.93% YTD a week ago). And the Contest portfolio median was lower by a smidgen, closing down -7.98% YTD (vs. down -7.89% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 11 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 8 of the portfolios beating the NBI. Although off a bit for the week,, GENE's portfolio remains in the Contest lead with a 108.3% YTD gain. ROBERT's portfolio is still second place with a 38.7% YTD gain.
