Ted, Why? The same reason al Qaida failed in Iraq would have still been present. AQ would not have failed. The reason local Sunni's dared to stand up against the head choppers woas 100,000+ US troops protecting them. Without the US troops, any AQ opponent would have his head separated from his body to make him an example to others. Joe
