McCain could have attracted some disappointed Hillary voters with a moderate pro-choice woman VP, but I doubt he gets many with a staunch social conservative like Palin. We're talking about Hillary voters here. As in Hillary Clinton. Most will either sit it out, or suck it up and vote for Obama.
