Palin has said she doesn't even know what McCain's Iraq policy is.

Here's McCain advisor Charlie Black on questions about Sarah Palin's foreign policy competence. "She's going to learn national security at the foot of the master for the next four years, and most doctors think that he'll be around at least that long."

Yeah that's reassuring.

What was he thinking? The man has a trophy wife at home and now it looks like he wants one at work. This woman has been a governor of a state with about 627,000 people in it for a year and a half. My county has more people. Before that she was mayor of a town with 6700 people in it for two years.

The GOP sure doesn't have much of a bench. This isn't like bringing a pitcher up from triple A, it's like reaching into the high school ranks and picking a cheeleader.

And as usual it turns out she's embroiled in corruption and mismanagement.
30 phonecalls, 24 from her chief of staff, a bunch emails from her, a visit from her husband to pressure the Alaska Public Safety Commissioner to fire her ex-brother in law all denied by Palin until she got caught redhanded. When Monegan didn't the fire the guy she fired him. His replacement lasted two weeks until he resigned in the face of sexual harrassment charges.

Now we've learned she's invoked the Alaska version of executive privilege to withhold emails dealing with the case. She'd fit right in with the Bush Administration. McCain would have been better off picking Harriet Myers.
