I commend the idea that a GOP national candidate is not an old white guy, for the first time in history. But, after hearing her speak, she sounds just like Sally Field. "You like me. You really like me." And, when it comes to foreign policy, she reminds me of Sergeant Schultz from "Hogan's Heroes.": "I know nothing. Nothing." A Prez candidate who can't spell economics and a Veep who thinks overseas means Canada.

Sometimes McCain cannot connect the dots. If he was going to pick her, why pound Obama on experience? If he was going to say that he now believes in global warming, why pick an Alaskan, the poster state for environmental recklessness? Why are the polar bears dying off? Why do they worship at the statue of The Exxon Valdez? Why build a bridge to nowhere? Aren't all of the Congressmen and Senators, state and national, under indictment right now? Of course, she may be clean, except for corrupting her office to get her ex brother in law fired.

They say she is very popular. She gave each citizen $1200 from excess oil profits. Talk about buying votes.

Could she have been elected governor in any other state? Nice lady, but definitely a lightweight.
