I'd say a category 5 for Gustav is possible in the central Gulf, but probably down to 3 by landfall.

Steve Lyons discussed how some models now have Gustav stopping just off shore, then pulling off to the West. That track would maximize damage to energy production, particularly if Houston is the final destination for landfall. Houston is definitely in play now, along with the area between Port Arthur and Lake Charles that Rita blasted.
