I don't shell out any $$$ for my PC at work. However, our company apprently doesn't mind <GGG>. I'm sure Intel inside gives our IT folks a comfort level well worth the difference. Afterall, Cyrix doesn't have years and years of experience is mass use to determine their reliability or compatibility.

Actually, we buy only from DELL. So until Cyrix signs up DELL (yes, this is the laugh for the evening), Intel will not be losing any of our business.

Re: Spreadsheets

The degree to which floating point calulations are important depends on the particular spreadsheet and the formulas within it.

BTW, if you haven't figured it out yet, Cyrix and AMD are not non-profit organizations because of benchmarks.
