"I think somebody with a down syndrome child that is pro life brings home the entire issue in spades,...

It brings some issues to light that have been closeted for a while but it has nothing to do with your man hating stuff, or the years of championing your desire to see everyone have an abortion.

"You cannot raise a down syndrome child in the USA without **significant** financial means (or government benefits if you are living in a small town, like Palin).

None of that is true. You are an outsider on this issue, which you seem to be trying to dovetail into your favorite subject (abortion).

I've known and talked to women who chose to abort a handicapped fetus and have known some who have chosen to raise a handicapped child. Building wealth may be the center of your universe but it is only an incidental aspect of everyday life for most of the rest of us and rarely plays into the decision to abort/raise a handicapped child.

Why can't you go be an independent wealthy business woman and leave people who choose other lifestyles alone? Is your independence not everything you were promised?
