The single question you should ask republicans like that is, "do you think she is ready to be president and does she have the foreign experience to have her finger on our nukes".

Then just wait for their response. I found that that kind of question makes the other person think of their choice decision rather than me trying to force down their narrow minds my choice.

Palin is the scariest selection in vice presidential history and it shows that McCain is completely unstable. The single fact that she could be a breath away from the presidency is enough to disqualify the whole GOP campaign for even being on the ballot.

Of course if you do overhear lies and smears, those also need to be answered by also including the "lies and smears" of McCain's treason, collaborator with the Vietcong when he was a POS that he gave info that killed Americans, crashing 5 planes in non-combat, his adultery, throwing his wife under a bus when she needed his help the most after her accident, luck of moral judgement, Keating five, etc... You can tell them there are lots of lies and smears out there for both candidates and Obama being a muslim is one of them and mention all the McCain ones.

What I found happens after that is people start thinking of the McCain items and go and check them out on the Internet and find out that a lot of the McCain ones are actually true. And that again makes them question their choice for their candidate.

In other words I found that I get more success in educating them and changing someone's mind by letting them do it themselves rather than forcing my beliefs onto them.

JMHO.
