We have yet to see if Republicans will vote for her. I know that there are fewer misogynists in the GOP than racists, since many of the racist Republicrooks are women. But there are still plenty who don't want the country to be run by a woman.
I think it was a bold pick, but it just shows how desperate Mac is. Who better to separate the campaign from the poisonous Bush than a woman who, supposedly, took on big oil? Which is a joke. Big oil still runs her state (my state, too). But we have to give her credit for trying.
One problem is that McCain was hoping to get part of the Hillary vote. Not gonna happen. Palin and McCain are less fascist than typical Republicans, and I am happy for that. But they still are 100% against the things women, other than Stepford wives (who already vote GOP), care about.
I am just glad he didn't pick Romney. Hugging Bush and supporting torture were two hypocritical moves for Mac. He redeemed himself, somewhat, on the Bush front, by making Dumbya cool his heels while Mac was late for his Presidential endorsement. I loved that. Romney would have made the hypocrisy overwhelming.
I think he made the election much more interesting. The pick of Biden by Obama made it duller.
As I've said before, this is the least repugnant GOP duo since Roosevelt and Taft. |
