i saw a PBS program on New Orleans that was just created. A lot of people have rebuilt on the ground. You have to be over 4 feet off the ground to get any insurance at all, and over 9 feet up to qualify Federal aid.

The folks who rebuilt on the ground are likely to be financially wiped out this week.

The point made about the hurricane stalling after landfall is a good one. We are going to see MASSIVE flooding all over the coast if it does stall. What roads are near the coast will be washed out.
