That's lots of rain and even too much for Houston. They are accustomed to heavy rain but 40 inches crazy.

The first year my son moved to Houston he was working in a downtown high rise that had underground parking..............all those underground areas were filled with water.

I especially remember how all the small streams were overflowing everywhere.

When I was there in July during some Dolly rainbands, the rain was cming down so hard it seemed like someone was pointing a garden hose on the windows.

Luckily, my son doesn't live on a ground floor condo.
