This from WWL website... August 31, 2008 Now down to 115 mph sustained winds and still a category 3 hurricane. There is still a possible strengthening time frame, but the window is closing as it is moving fast and running out of water before reaching landfall. It is moving to the NW at 17 mph. It is at 25.9N 86.6W or 270 miles from the mouth of the River. A new forecast track will come out at 4pm.
