I guess its academic. You might be surprised to learn that before this decision I actually had a fair amt of respect for McCain. I wonder who actually chose this bimbo, it seems like a calculated strategic move and not really "McCain-ish". I don't like it when any bimbo is raised above their level of capacity for any reason, so its not just politics. There are dozens of women that immediately come to mind that McCain could have chosen to satisfy his base- these are qualified professional women not bimbos like Palin. Think of it this way. LEts say the dems chose MAXINE WATERS as their VP selection for a 71 year old candidate. We both know maxine waters has no chance of being on a winning ticket. But she does appeal to a subsegment of voters, just like Palin does. Although you are likely not personally threatened by Maxine Waters - my guess is it would irritate the right that somebody like that would be chosen for any mainstream office. Thats what Palin is. When she was running around in her "I'm BUSTED" t-shirts, Obama was editor of the harvard law review. Pee Ewe Palin. What a loser.
