GZ...read the longer article I posted. Palin has not been totally honest about this. She changed her story about anyone from her campaign putting pressure on the chief. Maybe she didn't know that her staff had made the calls (some recorded for Pete's sake, putting the "arm on". But if so, should she have known?) Even a little discrepency like that will give the media hours and hours of speculation and probing. They are already in Alaska talking to all the folks she is on the other side of, plenty of whom are Republican.

If she is going to be a reformer, she can't be seen at all using the power of her office for anything that looks personal or underhanded. The investigaor (appointed by a bi-partisan panel) will report soon. Better be a clean report or there will be a field day, distracting the campaign from everything else.

And will Cindy McCain and the Fox guys please stop saying that she known foreign affairs because her state is next to Russia? How lame is that?

Yes, this pick energized the conservative base. But I think in the long run it will hurt McCain just because of all the coming distractions. Watch and see. I'm not saying she is wrong....or did anything wrong...it is just she is so unknown the digging will be a massive distraction.

I would have preferred Romney. Already vetted and stronger in economics and plenty of family values to boot.
