The main difference between California and Seattle is that in booms CA goes up a lot more and in busts it goes down more also to make up for how much more it went up in the good times.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got hit more in the near future. I was actually surprised to see the median price just trending down gradually. And I was very happy to see the trend in supply demand not getting worse at a continuous rate.
