I have no idea what kind of vetting process was used, but the way Palin has been kicking butt in Alaska, I'd expect somebody would have already shut her down if there was any low hanging fruit available.

As for the State Trooper that is now a topic of interest, he apparently tazed his own eleven year old stepson. I don't expect any actions against Palin to materialize out of this dispute.
