Trippi is the first Dem to figure it out.

Yes, he has, and he retains the ability to look at things from the other guy's vantage point.

What's sad for the Democrats is that so much of what he figured out should have been obvious to many. McCain will insinuate that if Palin isn't ready for No 2, Obama isn't ready for No 1? Who needs to insinuate, he'll just say it! it's obvious!

Palin adds to McCain's brand as a maverick reformer? The social conservatives are enthusiastic about here? She's not just a token, she would have been a good pick even if she had been a he? Well, doh, as the kids say. Of course, it helps if you had heard of Palin before, which most of the liberal elites had not.

I hope Trippi isn't deluding himself that Obama has really been vetted. The Rev. Wright fiasco alone should have disproved that idea.
