Great article in today's New York Times, business section, which really pans electric car thing. Results published in something called Journal for Environmental Science and Technology by guys from Carnegie-Mellon and Georgia Tech. Bottom line: cleanup of gas powered vehicles obviates need for Electric cars, and the latter have lots of serious side effects on environment. There is simply no ecenomic or environmental case that can be made for electric cars if all facts are considered, the article says. If this perspective gets adopted by industry/market, OE has a better chance.
