Nothing wrong with eloping. This is common practice in the USA and has been for decades. Better to elope than to fund a $20,000 to 30,000. wedding, which is fairly average for a wedding now, than to spend the money and find the marriage fails within a couple of years. Why go into marriage with debt. Kudos to Sarah Palin and her husband.
