Re Job Description of a Governor: Is the job of Governor of a State with large population and/or acres vs that of a Governor of a State with a small population and/or acres any more difficult or easier than the other?

IMO, the answer is they are the same responsibilities, and if anything, those Governors' with a larger population may have it easier because they will have a much larger staff to handle the larger numbers of population.

It is very much like managing a large business vs managing a small one.

For Instance:

Job description — Ohio governor
akron.com

The governor serves as the chief executive of Ohio and is the political and ceremonial head of the state, according to the Ohio Governor’s Office. The governor may also assume additional roles, such as the commander-in-chief of the Ohio National Guard forces when not federalized, and the ability to commute or pardon a criminal sentence. The governor works closely with the lieutenant governor — similar to the relationship of a president and vice president — to effectively run the state. The governor also holds rank in a cabinet comprised of the directors of various state agencies. Each is responsible for the management and operation of his or her agency.
