Palin is McCain's admission that he has an age issue. Biden is Obama's admission that he has a qualification issue.

Hard to know what was in McCain's mind when he picked Palin. As for Obama, he's been quite clear. The prime criteria for a vp nominee is readiness to be president. That had seemed to be a lesson well learned since the Quayle nomination. Apparently not.

Six years as Wasilla's mayor is six years more executive experience than Obama has.

Not nearly as much managerial experience as running a campaign for the presidency, essentially a flawless one. My guess is that managing his staff as a senator and the various committee assignments is both a great deal more complicated and more trying than being mayor in a small Alaska town. Certainly more than in a small New Jersey town. And I do know about that.

Being Governor next door to Russia is more foreign experience than Obama has.

Until I read these points, I took you to be a serious poster, MM. This one is the worst of the lot. I need only note that Obama was a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to dispel it.

If you wish to discuss the relative merits of Palin and Obama, it will take much more than this. The only ones that will have credibility are policy differences. She's opposed to women's choice; she's in favor of teaching creationism in the schools; she has no serious idea about the arguments vis a vis climate change; the list is just about endless.
