OB's foreign policy adviser is Brzezinski. Mr. B will be looking for ways to play the Great Game (modern ed.) and get the Russians' toe caught in their nightie again, as in the last round in Afghanistan circa Carter. That will be harder this time, as the Russians now number among our creditors and have trumped our policies in Central Asia (check out Turkmenistan's latest agreements with the Rs: atimes.com in re oil/gas/pipelines.

Both Reps and Dems play CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) games. Yes, some are more adroit at manipulating the public's perceptions, but at the end of the day, the insolvency of both the underlying "bank" of mainstream ideas as well as that of the banks themselves will drive the show. Dommage.

This all promises to get waaaayyy too interesting.
