I have never done much with munis. I should be tracking them these days because I think they are an excellent indicator of the state of the credit markets. I have been relying mostly on the TED spread for that - and it isn't especially sanguine. Dr. Doom Roubini has been casting his Casandraesque prognostications against the munis. I don't go against him right now, quite the opposite in fact.
