Bard Ventures Ltd.: Drilling Intersects 0.10%Mo (0.17% MoS2) Over 455 Meters at the Lone Pine Property, B.C.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 2, 2008) - Bard Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CBS) ("Bard" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that final assay results have been received and interpreted from drill holes BD-08-33 and BD-08-34 on its Lone Pine Molybdenum Property (the "Property"). BD-08-33 is located 80 meters southwest of drill hole BD-08-25. BD-08-34 is located 73 meters southwest of BD-08-29 and 100 meters northwest of BD-08-33. Please refer to the Company's website at www.bardventures.com for drill hole locations and additional information. The Property is located approximately 15 kilometers north-northwest of Houston, BC, and is situated in the Omineca Mining Division.

The significant intervals for drill holes BD-08-33 and BD-08-34 are tabulated below:

These results confirm the continuation of the molybdenum mineralization within the alaskite intrusive and footwall andesites. Molybdenum was moderately to strongly visible in quartz stock work alaskite intrusive within both drill holes, with assays confirming the presence of high grade molybdenum mineralization extending down dip to the southwest of drill holes BD-08-25 and BD-08-29. Continued geological interpretation is ongoing.

Hole BD-08-33: Drill hole BD-08-33, a vertical drill hole, was designed to further extend the high grade molybdenum mineralization encountered in drill hole BD-08-25. The drill hole collared into andesite to 371m approximately, before encountering alaskite intrusive. The alaskite intrusive continued to depth to 802m approximately before being shutdown in the QFP pluton at 835.11m. The higher grade portion of this drill hole has been confirmed to be an extension of the higher grade molybdenum mineralization encountered 80m to the northeast in drill hole BD-08-25. The potential for continued higher grade molybdenum mineralization down dip to the southwest remains favourable.

Hole BD-08-34: Drill hole BD-08-34 was targeted as a continuation of the BD-08-33 drill fence, and more importantly, to target the alaskite intrusive molybdenum mineralization down dip of drill hole BD-08-29. BD-08-34 encountered andesite from collar to 281m approximately before intersecting alaskite intrusive through to 818m. The drill hole was shutdown in QFP pluton at 872.30m. Again, molybdenum mineralization was confirmed down dip at depth an additional 73m southwest of BD-08-29. The potential for continued higher grade molybdenum mineralization down dip to the southwest remains favourable.

Metallurgical Studies

Bard is pleased to announce that representative core from the Lone Pine Property Alaskite Zone has recently been submitted to G&T Metallurgical Services Ltd. of Kamloops, British Columbia, with focus on petrography, bond mill work index and flotation testing studies.

Please refer to the Company's website at www.bardventures.com for drill hole locations and additional information.

Of importance to note is the existing infrastructure on the Property, which includes Highway 16, natural gas pipeline, a major hydro power transmission line and transformer sub-station, and it is located only 15 kilometers from the CN rail line in Houston, BC.

Bard is earning a 100% interest in the Property under the terms of an option agreement (see News Release dated September 15, 2006). The Lone Pine exploration work is being conducted under the supervision of Qualified Person Jim Miller-Tait, P. Geo., a Director of Bard.

Samples from BD-08-33 and BD-08-34 are being analyzed by Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver utilizing the Group 1E methodology. Analytical procedures consist of a 31 element ICP analysis followed by assay for any molybdenum ICP analyses greater than 4000 ppm.
