I agree, the game is Ohio and Florida. Lose both of those and it's game over. In fact, I'd say OH/FL/PA best 2 outta 3 wins it for sure this time around. I don't think the Dems have a lock in any of the three, they'll have to execute to get it done. From a purely political standpoint, Palin may help McCain with the otherwise shaky Republican base. But were these people (e.g. longnshort) gonna vote for Obama under ANY circumstances? They'd rather pull the lever for Charles Manson!<G> So I don't think she helps with the swing voters and that's what will decide those states specifically. I really like KBH too, especially that she opposed the FNM housing bailout bill (as did my other home state senator, John Kyl). Bad, bad bill there, probably one of the Dems biggest mistakes. Fortunately Obama didn't vote for it, and McCain didn't vote against it.

Ohio's a fascinating state. It really is a microcosm of America.

Normally the bottom of the ticket really doesn't make a lot of difference. This year it may.
