Well Albert you're mistaken about me being an insider, but I know
you love to say it anyway so suit yourself. As to why Intel decided
to start a price war when AMD is on the verge of bankruptcy and their
manufacturing unit has all but collapsed, I think you are looking at
it the wrong way. Intel hasn't started a price war, they have merely
passed on their cost savings to the consumer like any good fine,
consumer oriented company would. They have the customers best
interests in mind. Seeing as Intel finds it so easy to manufacture
P2's at 266 & 300mhz, and Pentiums are so easy to manufacture at
233mhz they practically make themselves, it was only natural for
a company of such good will to simply do the right thing. Don't
you agree!
