oddly enough, this year we have reduced our freight bill $20,000 PER MONTH (!!!!) because we just went furiously shopping to get our rates down. I was wondering why the original freight forwarder was bringing us doughnuts 3x per week.

We do around 50 containers per month and saved around $400 per container (I think we are down to $3900 for the shipping).

we can pass some of the cost on to the retailer but that doesn't help or help us if no one is buying. Our sales are pretty much flat, which in light of the rest of the world's situation, is pretty freaking good. Profitability is probably down though but we won't know until the year is over and we find our mix of what sold.

Also, if anyone knows of a home goods wholesaler that is selling their business, I'm looking to be a buyer. I'm planning on coming out of this recession a household name, whether I build it or buy it :)
