Hey, I already have taken a beating by buying BEAM at 34 and finally selling at 20. I kept thinking the trend would reverse just like those of you still holding on. I'm so glad I got out when I did even though I wish I had gotten out sooner. The reason that I bought BEAM in the first place was that it got FDA approval before VISX. My opthalmologist had previously told me that VISX had the better machine and was preferred in Europe and Canada. The only reason that VISX stock price has gone down that I can tell is that BEAM has done so poorly and brought VISX down with it. When the dust clears, VISX will emerge the winner and VISX stock will go up, up, up. This is a marvelous procedure that millions of people will eventually have done, once the word is widespread.
