I have not visited this thread before, but being of Celtic origin I have an affinity for beer ( although technically I guess it should be mead.) Anyway, I visited the Big Ridge in Greenville, SC last month. It is beautiful, located in an old grainery right outside of downtown. It had good food and really good beer. The only negative I can say was it was empty. And it pretty much stayed empty the entire time I was there. Now I know that Greenville is not a party town, and, although growing faster than weeds, it is still pretty much small town, but I just cannot fathom why this place isn't packed out nightly.
They did say that Rock Bottom was planning to buy the rest of Big Ridge pretty soon, but if sales don't pick up there I can't see them maintaining the Greenville site.
