Not sure deflation is that bad for gold and gold stocks.

Gold is a store of value. Its behavior depends on people confidence in the system. If all prices are going down, then gold is a shelter.

Gold stocks can benefit in a deflationary as all input costs come down. Those juniors with money that are building ounces should go up in value.

But in the first place, we are not yet in a deflationary environment.
