Ted, Liberalism does not promote nationalism, patriotism, nor militarism. Conservatism does. Rather than commenting on the Orwelian name "Liberalism", let me comment on the true name: "Socialism". It gave use Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot in the last century. That's enough of a caution for a reasonable person not to risk voting for any Socialist. But then, not everybody is reasonable...
