Yup. Here we go. Way more interesting than the sexless sin-in-their-hearts-only Carter family. And they were a wacky bunch indeed, though I kinda liked Billy, a buffoon who knew he was a buffoon. The Rodhams and the Clintons were not much better.

Who knows where the truth lies but I smell a governor a couple of steps above the trailer park. While I'm no fan of the National Enquirer, its nose for this kind of garbage is very good, e.g., Breck Boy's dalliances.

A lawsuit? Gimme a break! Do they really want to draw attention to this kind of stuff, have lawyers issue subpoenas, cross-examine witnesses, etc. National E. is positively salivating at the prospect of getting sued. What a stupid response.

The lawsuit threat tells me more about the campaign's desperation than anything else. It was clearly intended for the crowd who doesn't think past the word 'lawsuit.' McCain must be furious with himself for not having vetted more carefully.

Palin's selection nailed it for me. I cannot trust the judgment of a man whose nose for people is as bad as McCain's. Nor can I trust the judgment of a man whose vetting process was as abysmal as it seems to have been.

There will be more because this kind of stuff is never isolated, never a discrete event. It is going to be quite a spectacle as well as the potential ruin of the McCain campaign.

Palin's selection quite possibly handed the Presidency to Obama on a silver platter.
