Assuming McCain doesn't just exile Palin to the Old Executive Office Building, then she will be in the room on many issues, as the spokesman for her wing of the party and the heir apparent. I could see her having that impact in several areas, even if she isn't the strongest in the room on the details. Just finished Kaplan's "Daydream Believers" about the impact of those who believe in various causes too much on foreign policy.
