I saw too much of the same smug, glib, self-righteous persona the right-wing has an abundance of. My closest friends in 3D and I are all in the mode of sitting out this election at the moment. One of them, when discussing Palin, was very focused on the smugness, which she couldn't stand. I still haven't seen her speak. Haven't read the speech yet, either, but I know that smugness would bother me, too. Another went on about her lack of humility. He says he expects just a tad of humility to counterbalance the inevitable ego of elected officials. That would bother me, too. The thing that probably irritated me most was her glib statement of how her state has such a wonderful surplus that she could return the 'people's money to them' Did she really say that? What hubris!
