I stand in awe of the band directors who take 100+ kids and manage to turn them in to a synchronized musical group that can walk and play at the same time.

Its funny, when I was a marching band director, I also worked as a white water raft guide in the summers.

Even as a novice guide, my crews pulled their paddles together and with a good rhythm.

One of the old guides asked how I was able to have such cohesive crews trip after trip.

I told him, "There's only six people!"
