Sept 5 (Reuters) - Communications equipment maker Sycamore Networks Inc (SCMR.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) doubled its fourth-quarter loss, hurt by a fall in revenue, sending its shares down 5 percent.
For the quarter ended July 31, the company posted a net loss of $14.1 million, or 5 cents a share, compared with $6.1 million, or 2 cents a share, a year ago.
Excluding items, the company lost 3 cents a share during the quarter.
Revenue for the quarter more than halved to $15.1 million.
Analysts on average were expecting the company to break even, excluding items, on revenue of $23.9 million, according to Reuters Estimates. |
