While this article is talking about Alaska, don't be deceived that earmarks are strictly a technique used by Republicans.

Look beyond Alaska and to other states where earmarks are a Democrat problem .

Lets call it what it is "pork". Pork is used and has been used by the Democrats in Congress for decades to feather their nest-----to appeal to the constituents----naming many of the earmarks after themselves ------in an attempt to assure their reelection.

The most egregious use of earmarks/pork being those that the Democrats have attached to defense bills to block defense appropriations in times of peace and war.

Suggest everyone do their due diligence on the subject of earmarks.
