This is what I posted:

Saddam started out as a secularist but has been tilting over to being an islamist. True, not in the form of Wahabi or Shia equivalent.

and

He was transforming in direction of deriving he legitimacy from being a muslim, rather than from being a leader of secular socialist faction.

I don't know why you are trying to create an argument by arguing against something I did not post.
