That is correct Kenneth. Spending increased without reason. It was not a tax issue, more money than ever came in from tax revenues, but spending was and is out of control.

During Bush's first 5 years in office, the federal government increased by more than $616 billion dollars. That's an increase in the size of our government by 33 percent in only 5 years. Is spending out of control? Duh!

Is Congress or the White House fiscally doing their job today? NO! Both parties are failing us. Undeniable...except by stupid partisans.

Justify why we need even a larger federal government today? What was wrong with the one we had in 2000? Yet, you say there is no room for cuts because you do not deal with details. The government growth is outrageous, spending is irresponsible...and you support them. Then change your position and start paying higher taxes instead of posting, "I support Obama because my tax rate is not going up".
