"Personally, I prefer to let the evidence stand on its own merit and...." Sure. I'm all for truth and actual evidence coming to the fore, too! "it's only an investigation... an investigation doesn't automatically mean there was any wrong doing" Correct. But --- when official misconduct is alleged, it's only appropriate to have official inquiries. No one should be above the law.... (This one is being conducted by the Republican-lead State Legislature, so we can probably be reasonably satisfied with it conclusions - whatever they may be, right?)
