"Obama pointed out that he has been respectful of McCain's service to this country and his motivations to become president.

That is one among many reasons I admire Obama. Palin started her speech complimenting Obama. Both sides recognised each other in a dignified way and did a compare and contrast to show why they believe their ideas are winners and why ideas promoted by the other side should not be supported. I thought both sides did a good job of that.

"Change for change's sake is not a reason to win an office. You have to discuss WHAT you're going to change, and how.

I agree. The McCain team has demonstrated a history of not doing things samo samo. They have a track record of governmental changes championed by the Maverick and the Reformer. The changes they highlighted in their campaign so far demonstrate that they will fight for reforms we all want to see.

"With McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time recently, how is THAT a formula for change?

It's not. It is an unworthy bash, or snide sound bite or whatever you want to call it, that over looks the reality of the whole man.

You have to discuss WHAT you're going to change, and how.

Go for it...
