Detroit made decide this election.

In a backlash against the Democratic shambles/scandals in the city, Michigan goes Republican (it is a tossup state right now)and takes its 17 electoral votes into the Republican column. McCain pulls out Ohio (again toss up state) and its 30 electoral votes together with the Michigan's 17 added to the 225 McCain already has in states leaning toward him puts him over the top with 272 (270 wins).
