Obama will win in the swing state of Michigan - I know the state very well and visit often...I grew up in Southwest Michigan and still have many relatives up there...Obama will perform very well in the city of Detroit and in the more progressive college towns like Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Kalamazoo...Much of Southwest Michigan is conservative but McCain lost moderate Republicans like my father, mother, and aunt when he chose someone like Palin (if he had chosen Ridge or Romney he may have had a much better chance to win in a state like Michigan)...Palin is from the far right wing of the GOP and does not really appeal to moderates or many Independents.
